Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream has been affected by his global impact. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It was atop the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. The following calendar year Dopamina came out as his sophomore album. Then, in 2021 he sang a duet in 2021 alongside TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which featured the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo has a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are musicians. In his interviews, he's talked about participating in music as compulsory. When he was young, he taught how to perform on the guitar, piano as well as the ukulele. Despite initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his career.
